Inside Sales Manager

Position Overview:

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, highly customer focused and passionate Inside Sales Manager (ISM).  Working closely with our outside sales team, this role is fundamental in supporting lead generation and achieving our revenue growth objectives.  You will support the sales process from generating quotations through to fulfillment, wherein you will coordinate and work with internal cross-functional teams to successfully develop leads and manage customer projects/orders. You are a great communicator, detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a proven track record of “delighting” customers and surpassing sales quotas. You are comfortable with ambiguity and excel in a fast-paced environment.

 

Position Responsibilities, includes but not limited to:

  • Supporting Velaria Systems’ sales channel partners including manufacturer’s reps, dealers, and installation teams to ensure successful sales efforts.
  • Generating quotations and providing supporting documentation for our turnkey F.A.L. (Finishes, Acoustics, and Lighting) solutions to reps, architects, and interior designers
  • Work closely with our install network to determine feasibility of customer requests including detail technical solution with cost estimation/quote and turn that into a quotable item.
  • Prospecting and qualifying new opportunities from lead sources identified and provided by marketing or other members of the sales team.
  • Supporting the development of new national account / direct account leads from lead sources identified and provided by marketing/sales.
  • Coordinate sales activities with the Velaria Systems Design Studio, Engineering and Operations to determine the feasibility of customer requests including technical, manufacturing, and cost estimation.
  • Act as the customer liaison with internal teams as it relates to order intake and fulfillment (Specification/Manufacturing/Shipping/Finance)
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability and lead time of products to customers.
  • Process customer transactions such as orders and returns.
  • Support/manage care activities that support sales & operations planning and best practices.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of sales pipeline data.
  • Work closely with the planning team in Operations in prioritizing order fulfillment, forecast updates and assess KPIs.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in customer relationship (CRM) system; lead & opportunity generation and administration.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and install network to promote growth of business.
  • Have proactive behavior with any customer complaints and ensure timely resolution to customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  

Position Requirements:

  • A passion for excellence in professional sales, a “can do” attitude and a desire to work hard, learn and grow.
  • University degree or college diploma in Business, Sales, or related field.
  • 2 years + experience in business-to-business (B2B) environment, preferably in a sales or customer service-related role; experience in design, construction, or materials is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical assemblies and experience with architectural and/or acoustical design is preferable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill; adept at effectively communicating with customers to identify needs and help resolve issues.
  • Possess strong computer skills and proficient with CRM software, preferably hands-on experience with NetSuite.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload.
  • Exceptional customer focus that demonstrates urgency for satisfying one's external and/or internal customers.
  • Committed to team and individual success.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment and ability to prioritize with a results-based approach.
  • Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude.
  • A certain level of creativity and flexibility is required of this position.
  • Target oriented and believe in teamwork.
